The Course Team
Each course is led by a Merganser Course Leader. This person will begin contact with you as soon as you have enrolled and will manage a needs analysis programme which helps us make sure the course fits your level of experience. In each case our Course Leaders are former teachers or senior leaders in education, with considerable experience of working with teacher groups.
The delivery of the language element of the courses is provided by Languages United in Bath. The language schools work in close collaboration with the Merganser team. The teachers are English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Specialists with particular expertise in working with practicing teachers.
The EFL teachers are chosen because they are particularly adept at making the links between language development and the modern cultural context – working in a practical way.
Other education specialists are introduced to the course group, depending on the focus of the course. These individuals are all highly experienced, both in the education system, and in teacher continuing professional development (in-service training).
The management of the course logistics is supported by an experienced and efficient administration team led by our Administration Manager.
